Project LAUNCH

Free, in-home mental health services for Duval families

JFCS’s pioneering program, Project LAUNCH, promotes the wellness of young children, from birth to 8 years of age, by providing effective and innovative mental health services to improve the social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioral aspects of a child’s development. It is made possible through a five-year grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and marks a significant step toward addressing the mental health needs of children.

Certified mental health therapists provide in-home mental health assessments and counseling tailored to the unique needs of each family and certified parent education specialists conduct parenting training and education programs, offering insights into positive discipline, developmental milestones, and strategies for building resilience in children. Additionally, wraparound services are offered, as needed, to expand access to developmental, educational, and mental health resources.
