At The LJD Jewish Family & Community Services (JFCS), our mission has always been to strengthen families and build resilient communities. As of January 1, our child welfare services have expanded to four new counties: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, and Union. Working alongside Partnership for Strong Families (PSF), JFCS case management staff will provide comprehensive case management services to families already involved in the court system and those at risk of entering it due to reported abuse or neglect.

“JFCS has demonstrated incredible expertise in child welfare and has done amazing work in Jacksonville. We’re thrilled to have them enhance our collective efforts in these new counties.” — Ginger Griffeth, President and CEO of PSF

As a pioneer of preventive child welfare, JFCS has already had a profound impact in Duval and Nassau counties, helping over 4,000 at-risk youth and their families in 2023-24 alone. Now, we’re bringing that same expertise to our new service areas, offering a comprehensive approach that includes parenting training, supervised visitation to support reunification, and referrals for counseling and psychiatric care. Our work is guided by a simple yet powerful belief: every family deserves the chance to thrive.

“We were brought into this new partnership to bridge the resource gaps that were identified in these communities,” said Colleen Rodriguez, CEO of JFCS. “Our mission is to provide support by working alongside these families to increase the scope and depth of the services already available. We’re committed to helping them build skills and support systems that will make a lasting impact on their lives.” — Colleen Rodriguez, CEO of JFCS

This expansion isn’t just about providing services — it’s about building connections. JFCS is employing staff who live in the local counties to better understand the needs of the families they will be serving.

JFCS is committed to building upon the strong foundation of services that Partnership for Strong Families has established in these counties. By enhancing existing programs and introducing new approaches to prevention and intervention, we will empower families with the tools they need to bring hope and sustainable change.
