CHILD SAFETY SERVICES

New Counties, Same Commitment
At The LJD Jewish Family & Community Services (JFCS), our mission has always been to support the communities we serve. As of January 2025, our child welfare services have expanded to four new counties: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, and Union. Working alongside Partnership for Strong Families (PSF), JFCS will provide comprehensive case management services to families already involved in the court system and those at risk of entering it due to reported abuse or neglect.
Our professional case managers have helped over 4,000 at-risk youth and their families in Duval and Nassau counties from 2023 to 2024 alone. In addition to assisting with removal from the home on the dependency side of child welfare, we’re bringing our pioneering work in prevention to these new communities. Then, our goal is to help as many families as possible stay together while working with their case managers rather than a child automatically entering the foster care system.
