News anchor John Asebes interviews Stephanie Metzger, Director of Prevention Services at JFCS, during a News4Jax segment.
As a follow-up to an arrest this past week at a local school, our own Stephanie Metzger, Director of Prevention Services, joined The Morning Show to explain who is required to report suspected child abuse in Florida, what to report and how to report it.
“A general reporter, basically anybody in the community in the state of Florida, is able to make a report to the state abuse hotline. A professional reporter is someone whose job legally requires them to report any suspicions of abuse or neglect of a child. Those are professionals who are directly involved through their employment with children and families.”
