At The LJD Jewish Family Services, we are proud to celebrate Robert J., an 8th-grade student at Highlands Middle School, whose dedication and perseverance have set him on a path to success!
A Moment of Recognition
On February 28, 2025, Robert was recognized by his principal, Mr. Leon Mungin, and DCPS Superintendent, Dr. Christopher Bernier, for his outstanding academic achievements. His hard work earned him acceptance into the Early College Program at Andrew Jackson High School and a two-year college scholarship from Florida TaxWatch! Robert aspires to study Video Game Design and Cyber Security.
A Track Record of Excellence
Robert joined Achievers for Life in 6th grade and has maintained strong academic performance ever since. He made the A/B Honor Roll in 6th and 7th grades and achieved an all-A record in 8th grade. He was the only student at Highlands Middle to make the all-A Honor Roll for the 1st quarter of the 2024-2025 school year!
Beyond academics, Robert won 1st Place at the Highlands Middle School Science Fair with his project, “The Hand or Claw,” and 2nd Place in the District Science Fair. His passion for learning and problem-solving continues to shine.
A Family Legacy of Success
Robert’s success is part of a family tradition! Both of his older siblings are Achievers for Life alumni. His 17-year-old sister graduated high school early and is now a college student at FSCJ, while his older brother is on track to graduate early. Their achievements reflect the impact of the AFL program in helping students reach their goals.
Achievers for Life: Making a Difference
Achievers for Life supports 6th-grade students through their middle school years, providing academic guidance, mentorship, and family engagement. With the help of JFCS family advocates and therapists, students receive the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
The Future is Bright
Robert’s story showcases what’s possible when students receive the right support and stay dedicated to their dreams. We congratulate Robert on his success and look forward to seeing all that he will accomplish! The best is yet to come!
